The students in Anne Crosby Gaudet’s piano studio have the opportunity to participate in a variety of creative projects each the year. Come explore some of the wonderful things we do together.

2012-2013 

May Recordings

During the last week of lessons everyone recorded one of their recital pieces. 

Young Composers 2013 features original compositions by 29 students. Our theme was The Seasons. Each student began by choosing a season and writing a poem to inspire the music. Some used the poem as lyrics, while other used it for character and imagery. It took several weeks to work out musical ideas and jot down notation. We used Finale PrintMusic to notate the scores professionally. The final step was a recording. All of the students performed their own compositions using Garageband. They learned how to edit and improve the performances before creating the final mp3.

The Crazy Combo Concert was held on Sunday, February 24, 2013 at the Music Room in Halifax. It featured duets, trios and quartets performed by all of Anne's students. We got everyone excited about the upcoming concert with this fun movie trailer.

The concert was a big success, it might have been my favorite ever! We raised $190 to cover the cost of renting the Music Room and any extra will go toward purchasing new ensemble music for our studio library. We had lots of snacks and delicious treats after the concert.

Lots of people took videos of their children, but one Dad came with a tripod and nice camera and got the whole concert for us! Thank-you Thomas! I am so excited to be able to share the concert with you, please sit back and enjoy or forward to a specific performance.

2011-2012

We gave a concert at the local seniors home

We participated in the RMT Dessert Recital Fundraiser

We had a piano party with games, crafts and cake.

We celebrated end of the year with a barbeque concert at my house
